Description<\/h5>

The aim of the course is to introduce students to the Analysis and Design of basic chemical engineering processes. Units included: Introduction, Basic Principles of Process Analysis and Planning. Analysis and design of experiments. Fluid Flow (Flow in pipes, flow in fixed and fluidized particle beds, fluid mixing, pumps, air compressors). Particle Technique (sieving, filtration, centrifugation, settling, cyclones, filters, crystallization, fracture, aggregation). Thermal Processes (heat exchange, evaporation, cooling and freezing, heat pumps). Thermal processes with simultaneous mass transfer (wetting, dehumidifying, drying).<\/p>
