Accelerating Water Circularity in Food and Beverage Industrial Areas around Europe (H2020-LOW-CARBON-CIRCULAR-INDUSTRIES-2020
Objective: he main objective of the program was to optimize sweet water consumption in the food and beverage industry through a water-waste-energy network. This was achieved by introducing advanced water recovery and reuse technologies, as well as monitoring and control methods supported by artificial intelligence. These technologies will enable the use of recovered water in food and beverage production processes. At the same time, they will facilitate the recovery, optimization, and management of waste and energy, thus contributing to environmental sustainability, cost savings, and the development of value-added products and value chains through material recovery.
