Zacharias is a Professor of Chemical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He has authored or co-authored more than 120 articles in scientific journals, as well as five books and book chapters. He is also the Associate Editor of the journal Drying Technology. Zacharias holds a degree in Chemical Engineering (1980) and a Ph.D. (1984) from NTUA.
